Brief Description

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for direct recruitment by selection to various posts in different ministries and departments of the Government of India. This includes positions like Additional Government Advocate, Scientist 'B', Specialist Grade III, and Assistant Professor. The selection will be based on a Recruitment Test followed by an interview, or an interview alone. Candidates are required to apply online through the UPSC's official website.

Payment Mode:

  • The fee can be paid by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment.

Age Limit

The age limit varies for each post. For instance, the upper age limit is 45 years for Additional Government Advocate, 35 years for Scientist 'B', and 40 years for Specialist Grade III posts. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.

Selection Process

Recruitment Test (RT) & Interview

  • The selection process will be based on a Recruitment Test (RT) followed by an Interview.
  • In some cases, the selection may be based on an Interview only.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed and will have to produce original documents for verification.
  • The syllabus for the Recruitment Test will be made available on the UPSC website.

Salary / Pay Scale

Pay Level RangeLevel-10 to Level-12

The pay scale varies according to the post, ranging from Level-10 (for Scientist 'B') to Level-12 (for Additional Government Advocate) in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC, plus applicable allowances.
